It wasn't even responding to SSH, so I had to hook up a monitor to check things out. It greeted me with a delicious stack trace describing a seg fault and wasn't accepting input (couldn't change consoles, couldn't exit program, etc.). I dunno if this means the hardware's getting crusty or if teh Lunix just has a bug somewhere.
I just restarted the machine and all is well.
